Frequently Asked Questions about aquarium service & setup

Please reach us at seaviewaquariums@comcast.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The best type of fish to keep in aquarium depends on several factors such as tank size and water parameters.  The best starter fish are those that are resilient, easy to care for, and adaptable to various water conditions. Popular choices include clownfish, known for their striking colors and compatibility with tank mates, and damselfish, which are hardy and active swimmers. Firefish and blennies are also great options as they are peaceful and help keep the tank clean by eating algae. Avoid delicate species, like tangs or certain angelfish, until you gain more experience. Always ensure the tank is properly cycled and water parameters are stable.

Ideally, you should change 25% of the water in your aquarium every two weeks. However, this can vary depending on the number and size of fish in your tank.

Most tropical fish prefer a temperature range of 75-82°F (24-28°C). It's essential to maintain a consistent temperature in your aquarium to keep your fish healthy.
